A few recent pictures of the big boy

Here you can see he is very comfortable sitting in an "awkward" position. Bohdi has always sat like this and it has nothing to do with the surgery. He bends the knee well and seems to have full ROM, Range of motion.

Here he is sitting on his favorite chair...Mom AKA me. This is from the day I went into labor. I swear he knew it was going to happen. He was treating me very differently and was especially gentle.

This is the best shot I have taken recently of the leg. LOL. I will try and do better, but honestly, you can't even see the incision scar anymore. The hair is growing back slowly but surely.

  1. Just wanted to say that I really appreciate you keeping a blog like this of Bohdi's progress!
I have a beagle who underwent knee surgery a week ago today and it gives me some comfort to know that someone else is going through the same experience!

My beagle blew out his right knee in January, and then just two weeks ago, he blew out the left. He's an older dog so both surgeries have been rough on him. He's toughing it out though (once again!) and I know he'll pull through
    .
Give Bohdi a belly rub for me -- I'm happy to see he's doing so well!

  3. I'm in the same shape as Barbieaf23. Any chance you could give me an update on how Bohdi is doing today? I'm really leaning toward the Tightrope surgery, but am trying to find how dogs are doing a few years in.

    My email is stacey.denke@gmail.com.

    Thanks!

  4. I'm in the same boat, our 100lb lab blew his knee this weekend and everyone is pushing TPLO bc of his size but I'd like to see how your pup is doing in the long term. ours will be 5 this fall so he has a lot of life to live.
